2008 Vice-Presidential Debate Deconstructed

The Vice-Presidential debate has wrapped up and I gotta tell ya, Governor Palin held her own..kind of. I do have to admit that I found myself tuning her out in a “take out the trash” and “the dog is humping the cat” kind of way. As far as the issues, this is still not going to be a close race, Obama is going to crush McCain. Although, Palin did look like Bambie caught in the headlights.

On the other hand, Biden didn’t rock with it either. He came off stuffy and rigid. I really thought Biden was going to wipe the floor with her, and honestly, I was looking forward to it. I have not been quit about the fact that I would love to see Obama get the White House. I think no one has experience being President so I throw that argument out the window.

Mrs. Palin came off as an aw shucks, soccer mom who every now and then got amped up over a particular hot button issue. Biden not knowing the clean coal question was a bit of a flub since he comes from the mid-Atlantic region. I did however approve of Biden spinning the same sex question on Palin.

Other issues worth mentioning:

The Iraq War-I am tired of the who voted for/against and when convo, let’s just get it done!

Iran-Biden’s half-assed answer on having a nuke and actually being able to use it was a ridiculous answer!

Nuclear War-Palin says “End all, be all” WTF?????

McCain knows how to win wars-Great, how many can you get us into?

If you were President-Biden “re-instate the middle class” Palin “get rid of greed and corruption”

Education-Palin “teachers need to be paid more”

Your no Maverick Mr. McCain!

In the end, none of us are going to make our final choice on the backs of these two, but you want to know that if needed, the second in command can lead, and unfortunately, I can’t give that kind of support to Governor Palin. Come back after menopause.
