GM to switch to cars, trucks out!
How Rick Wagoner still has a job is beyond me. This was the guy that five years ago said that SUV’s and Trucks would be GM’s phoenix from the ashes moment. He put this platform together, he opted to not merge three years ago when the suitors where there knocking on the door. Now, he is going to layoff workers, close plants, ruin communities because he didn’t see the energy crisis coming.
NEWSFLASH!
I saw it Rick back in the 70’s when I sat in line for days waiting for five gallons! You mean you don’t have people on your staff that are forward thinking enough to know that the world is heading down the road of higher gas prices and reduced driving of larger cars and trucks. No one on the advisory team bring that up Rick? What the eff are you guys doing? Now your going to dump Hummer? Do you think the inadequte guys and power hungry women out there who bought one of these monsters is worried about gas prices? They get four effing miles to the gallon.
BUT
This is only the begining boys and girls. The layoffs are going to kick in high gear over the summer. You watch, instead of vacation pay, people will be getting severance pay in many companies all over the United States while Europe starts to feel the pinch too.
Meanwhile Bush is asleep at the wheel while McCain is talking about a 42.4 cent gas tax holiday! Oh, is it a holiday John? Now I am back to paying $4 a gallon instead of $4.42! Thanks for the solid John, that’s why your going to get your ass handed to you in the fall, you have no idea what reality is. Effing 100 years….moron!

Rick Wagoner didn’t see the energy crisis coming.
This energy crisis is more man made than the natural market driven.
Who can forecast it?
I don’t disagree that you couldn’t forecast the severity, but he sure knew it was in short supply and to base your turnaround on a shrinking commodity was not his best work
