in Rants

So Volkswagen is going to start building cars in Chattanooga, Tenn., Good for them. That makes like what…everyone that makes a car has a plant in the United States? Only problem is, the American car manufacturers can’t seem to get it right. GM announced it’s second restructuring ( GM, when the ef are you going to fire Rick Wagoner?) in I think three months. Ford is driving around in tiny little circles wetting themselves, and Chrysler is about to get dropped off on the side of the road faster than Rosemary Kennedy at St. Coletta’s Institute for Backward Children.

What’s My Point?

Here goes. Hey GM, Ford, Chrysler, why the hell can everyone else build cars in American but you friggin’ idiots? Volkswagen is about to dump $1 BILLION Dollars into the economy, how about you…oh, what’s that, your laying off people and closing plants….D-heads. Let’s see, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Toyota, Nissan, VW, blah blah blah all have plants in the U.S.

Which leads me to my next point. And this really is a rant, why are these cars not considered American made? I get the whole percentage of parts manufactured here BS, but let’s face it, it’s UAW guys and girls putting these things together…all the while my Chrysler is made in Canada….Makes no sense to me.

Anyway, here is my plan for getting you guys to get your acts together. Ready? We are going to have to let one of you go. That’s right, we are going to have to take one of you out back and shot you. It’s not personal but that is the only way you guys are going to understand that we mean business. Stop making crappy cars that no one wants to buy no matter how miles per gallon they get.
