Republicans to Trade Oil for White House?

Well my fellow Democrats, looks like it is going to be our year. We are finally going to get a serious crack at winning the White House. I know they say the race is close, but McCain is going to suffer for the sins of Bush and the people just want to rinse their mouths out and start anew, and that’s exactly what Barack Obama is selling. Problem is your still dealing with some pretty smart people on the other side of the isle and they are game planning too. I don’t think they are putting too much stock in hosting any dinners at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue any time soon, but there is something they want and the Dems are going to have to give.

Offshore Drilling

That’s right people. That is going to be the price of admission to the White House. The Republicans realize their chances of hitting a home run this fall are pretty bleak and they are looking to trade you the White House for an oil rig off the Virginia coast. Senator Obama is going to have to seriously screw up the debates or do or say something that truly is nail in the coffin type stuff. But let’s face it, this guy is made of Teflon and seems to be impervious to campaign ending guffaws. So the Republicans are going to take it to the streets. They are going to force the drilling issue this fall and make the Dems come out against it just as the American people are heading out to their mailboxes to get the first bill for this winter’s heating oil.
